Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 16 March 2025
Travelhers (“we,” “our,” “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Collecting Information
To apply for membership, you may be asked to submit credentials such as your LinkedIn profile, contact details, and phone contacts. We may access certain information from your linked social media accounts, such as your Instagram username, profile picture, biography, and follower lists, to verify your identity and assess your connection to existing members. You may be asked to grant location permissions, which can be adjusted in your device settings at any time. Additional information you provide may include your name, email address, date of birth, gender, city of residence, phone contacts, and listed friends currently using the App. You may also provide profile content such as images, biographical details, music preferences, and connection preferences. Some of the information you provide may be classified as “sensitive” under certain laws, and by submitting this data, you consent to its processing. Any content you share within the Service may be visible to other users.
Information You Provide to Us
When you use Travelhers, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, profile details, and other information you provide.
- User Content: Any messages, photos, videos, or other content you submit on the App.
- Payment Information: If you purchase a membership or in-app services, payment details are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store your payment information.
Information Collected Automatically
We automatically collect certain data as you interact with the Service, including your device type, operating system, IP address, and interaction patterns such as access times and engagement with other users. If you grant location permissions, we may collect your precise or general location, depending on your settings. Even if you do not enable location services, we may estimate your location based on your IP address. We may use cookies and similar technologies to recognize you and your device. This helps with authentication, remembering preferences, analyzing usage trends, and enabling certain features.
Some devices and browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting to indicate that you do not want online activity tracked. However, as there is no universal standard for DNT signals, Travelhers does not currently respond to them. This data helps us improve the Service, enhance security, and personalize your experience. Retention of Data and Uninstalling the App
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes and as required by law.
